Hello, Im just 18(and 2 days), Im making dreams to study in US, Im thinking about Massachusetts. I have a cousin and few friends studying in Astoria, NY 3 years now but I can't live with this mess and noise life like NY is. For few 2 days that I spent there its great and WOW but to spent years there, No F**ing way. First of all I want to study Computers but I don't know what exactly to choose: 1. Computer Science 2. Networking 3. Electronic Crime 4. Web Desing Im interesting to all that and Im trying to learn by myself for years. Im really crazy about Computers and Technology. And I working every summer for 4 years now as a Computer Technician in a Computers Store. So I got the basics for any of that I think. I finished High School with 17.75/20 and I have 4 Certificated in 4 different languages of programming( Advance Level) My father can't afford the whole cost of studying, leaving e.t.c in US so I have to work there. Its easy for me to go to school, studying at home and working? I will survive to all that? Im thinking that maybe I failed or is not the right choice for me and I ruin everything that I dreamed, or let down my parents and spent their money for nothing. And I Scared to let behind family, friends, my gf. Maybe I will be alone in US, no one to talk. Im really scared. If I am a resident of Massachusetts then the school is much cheaper, So how can I be resident in MA cause I planning If I do it and leave for 4 years then, I planing to work there for couple years or more to get some money and experience and go back to my country (maybe not). In MA website I read that : You do not have to live in Massachusetts for any specific length of time to become a resident. You must live here now and plan to continue living here. You can leave Massachusetts for a period of time and still be considered a resident. link: http://www.massresources.org/masshealth-general-eligibility.html#howlong If Im under 19 i have more chance to be resident and get MassHealth? Im thinking to study at Westfield University or to the Holyoke Community College for a couple of years and then move to a better one that will be more cheaper (this is depend from m grades). Any Suggestions about Schools but Not very expensive ? First of all Im so sorry about my english but Im trying very hard to be better. I know I ask so many questions and maybe get bored with me. Im really so sorry about that but this is my life for the next 50 years and I really need answers from those that knows. Thank you for your time!... Read More »
